Evelop will build the offshore wind farm project "Gode Wind I" in cooperation with the wind farm developer Plambeck Neue Energien. Evelop, a subsidiary of the Dutch Econcern Group, acquires the majority of the project company "Plambeck Neue Energien Gode Wind I GmbH". This project is one of the first German offshore wind farms, and is comparable with the Dutch offshore wind farm Q7, which is one of Evelop`s landmark projects currently under construction.
The required approval for the project "Gode Wind I" by the Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (Bundesamt fur Seeschifffahrt und Hydrographie - BSH) was granted in August 2006. The offshore wind farm project "Gode Wind I" will be realised in the North Sea. The farm will consist of 80 wind turbines with a rated power between 250 and 400 MW, depending on the choice of the wind turbines. This will be sufficient to power approximately 250.000 en 350.000 European households with sustainable energy
